Original Poster - Alexandra Hetherington 41119 Get Link Report Abuse Downloading Chromecast onto Mac computer 0 Recommended Answers 12 Replies 1293 Upvotes 1 Recommended Answer 0 Recommended Answers I am unable to download the appropriate app onto my Mac to run Chromecast from my computer.

When I go to and choose Or, you can set up your Chromecast using this computer it takes me to a page that says Sorry, No offers are currently available.

There does not seem to be any other way to Cast from a Mac computer.

I felt I wasted my money again, I purchased one of these when they first came out and had so many issues connecting I returned it.

And I got it working on the Mac They advised to setup the chrome device on your phone or tablet.

Once your are setup on your phone or tablet you can cast from any device connected to your wifi.

In the top right hand corner there are 3 vertical dots next to the browser tabsearch bar at the top of the screen.

You may have to sign into your google account first.

An icon will appear right next to the browser tabsearch bar at the top that kind of looks like a tv.

If you right click on this and select always display this tab will always appear in this spot on your google browser and you can cast away.

This is the same for any Laptop or Tablet that you cant get the app for.
